Josh and I are finally going back to Ireland and I couldn't be more excited. We haven't taken a vacation since our honeymoon so once we were finally presented with some time and the funds to take a trip, we couldn't pass up exploring Ireland on our own this time around! We are thrilled and I am terrified that we have made arrangements to be driving a car for the entirety of the trip! This will be a huge, new, and terrifying adventure for us but we couldn't be more excited. That being said, I wanted to share some of my favorite new purchases for the trip and I few that I'm holding out on until right before our trip. Nordstrom is my one stop shop for fashionable, classy, travel style. Ireland isn't exactly reliable when it comes to weather. One thing you can always count on is inconsistency. So packing for this trip is all about layers for me.
1. Kate Spade New York Mercer Isle Sloan Satchel - I love this bag as a flight carry-on because of it's ample space and versatility. Beautiful leather, optional shoulder strap, protective metal feet for dropping it on any surface - it's the perfect travel companion.

2. Nordstrom Tissue Weight Wrap - I'm obsessed with these enormous comfy wool/cashmere wraps. Not only does it come in 60+ different shades, but it is the ideal flight companion. It's stuffy and warm at first but once you've been up in the sky for half an hour, you're freezing!

3. Yummie Tummie Compact Cotton Leggings - When talking about balancing style and comfort at the airport, these leggings are the perfect mix when paired with a classy riding boot. Who wants to be stuck in a pair of skinny jeans for an entire flight? Not comfy.

4. Vince Colorblack Stripe Cashmere Sweater - This 100% cashmere sweater does not come cheap, but you won't regret it with it's rich and creamy feel. The goal of travel style is to feel like you're in sweats while looking like you could take on the world! This sweater makes that possible.

5. Halogen Waterfall Leather Jacket - This jacket is stylish and classy, while the knit sleeve panels add to the fit and overall comfort of the leather jacket. Traveling is all about layers. You want to be able to easily remove or add layers to your comfort level throughout the trip.

6. Enzo Angiolini 'Ellerby' Boot - This Nordstrom exclusive leather riding boot is a steal at $112! This is the perfect travel boot to wear with leggings, skinny jeans, or tights.

7. Kate Spade New York 'Say Yes' Stud Earrings - I love a classic white gold stud earring, with a twist!

Yes, I'm still alive! & some Weekly Must Have's.

It's been months, and I've been seriously wrapped up in planning ahead and making (foolishly) snap decisions that I really haven't been near my computer much, to be honest. In the last two weeks, I've been doing a ton of serious thinking, and definitely some over-thinking as well. I lost my receptionist job last week, which made me seriously question my customer service skills and attention to detail. I would say that I have a great deal of healthy and skills in both areas so I'm honestly not sure what went wrong.. maybe they no longer needed me with all the new hires but didn't want to come out and say it? Trust me, I've thought of every possibility at this point.

The day after this happened, I decided it was time to adopt another dog, a 5-6 month old that I could have mostly trained in a month, which would be when I'm planning to go back to school. This was my big mistake... I'm a massive wreck of emotions and helplessness, and I decide to adopt a puppy. We go to the shelter and there aren't any pups at the age that I'm looking for so I fall for a 2 month old... and decide then and there to adopt it! Two days later, I've slept for 4 hours, had 2 meals and broken up dozens of fights between our 1.5 year old dog and the puppy, cleaned up gallons of pee and cried probably the same amount of tears. Josh and I decided the puppy had to go back. We adopted her from a no kill shelter and all of their puppies get adopted very shortly after they arrive from other states, so we knew that she would shortly find a family that would have the time, energy, and patience to train her. It was a very emotional parting, but I know that little Mina is sleeping soundly with her new family right now!

I'm thinking positively about the future, and I can't wait to start school and enjoy my favorite two seasons of the entire year! The only thing that's missing is an enormous fireplace to lounge around, in our festive-ly spooky apartment!

The one thing I'm always doing while sitting at my computer is bookmarking expensive clothing items to obsess over. So I thought I would jump start the blog with my most recent list of Weekly Must Haves, enjoy!

Film Reel - Despicable Me 2

After the hugely successful Despicable Me, the one thing everyone wanted was MORE MINIONS! At the time they were brilliant creations. These crazy little balls of cuteness, whose speech you can't understand but you still knew exactly what they were saying! Since the minion phenomenon, multiple films have copied these brilliant little guys, unsuccessfully, but it definitely got me even more excited for the the comeback of the originals!

So the child in me had been counting down the days until Despicable me 2 arrived. I like to think I have a sixth sense when it comes to movies. I ALWAYS know, from the preview, if it's going to be a total nap, or the greatest thing all year. Sequels rarely get the kind of approval that their predecessors achieve, but Despicable Me 2 was just as fun filled as the first one, if not more in my opinion! I did feel that this time around, the film had even more laughs for adults. Or maybe that's just because the little girl sitting next to us didn't laugh at anything, as I'm sitting there giggling every two minutes. Just saying.

What could be more fun than plan 'ol minions? Crazy, purple minions, vibrating with energy! Probably the best idea ever.

And who doesn't love a strong, endearing, redheaded female character, voiced by Kristen Wiig?! Despicable Me 2 was brilliant, go see it!

Have you seen a movie lately that you just can't stop watching/talking about? Tell me about it in the comments!

Products I Can't Live Without

Welcome to a brand new series at How I Dwell Now. If I'm being completely honest, there are not many beauty products that I'm actually attached to. Most of the time, when I run out of something, I try a new product, and so the cycle of overpriced identical products goes (depressing much?). But every so often, I find a product that I can't stop raving about because it has completely revolutionized my daily routine and the way my skin looks.

Enter, Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion! Yes, a mouthful, but the moisturizer has truly changed the way my skin behaves. I've had acne prone skin since my early teenage years. I've had dry skin, I've had oily skin, I really think my skin changes it's personality every few years and I've never been able to keep up so I never really got attached to any one moisturizer.

Clinique totally broke the mold with this product and the whole country is raving about it (yes I know I'm late to the party). DDML aims to reinforce the skins elasticity and moisture retention, which in turn, causes the skin to produce less oil, because it is well hydrated every morning and night. I was extremely skeptical when I purchased the product, as nothing I've ever used has really ever changed my skin dramatically.

After about a week of using the lotion every morning and evening, my breakouts had cleared up, my skin felt firm and young, and most importantly to me, my skin was neither oily nor dry! This moisturizer gave my skin exactly what it needed, control. That is no easy task for a girl with fair and sensitive skin.

Do you have a product that you swear by? Spill it in the comments!

Follow Friday: Kelli Murray Art and Design

I first came across Kelli Murray's blog via A Beautiful Mess. Kelli has the most angelic platinum blonde hair, and that sounds creepy but it's not, because I just love platinum, dare I say, white, hair! She shared exactly how she gets her hair that perfect shade without completely frying it into breakage, and I was hooked from then on.

I can't get enough of her art, invitation and holiday card designs, or the beautiful photography she shares on her blog, and her style is very unique and completely artsy. If you have yet to visit her blog, check it out over here and prepare to be completely hooked!
