A Little Update + Shoes
Hello hello, I realize that I completely dropped the ball this past month, as I haven't posted in just over a month, which was not my intention at all. Life has been a little crazy and a lot busy lately, so that's my general excuse. Moving, a new job, lots of nice weather (up until today), and a ton of frolicking out in the sun and on the water in my spare time. So the blog isn't going anywhere, after all, I just totally revamped it and I can't wait to start doing outfit photos in this gorgeous weather sometime soon, so stay tuned for that. I promise I'll start posting more, and that being said... shoes I can't get enough of lately!

Follow Friday: Eat.Sleep.Wear.
Kimberly's blog, Eat.Sleep.Wear. is one blog that I spend hours and hours perusing some days. Not only is it filled with pages and pages of perfectly styled outfits with pops of color, but so many of the pieces that Kim wears are totally attainable and she always links back to them! I love reading about her Fashion Week adventures, wherever they are. Her makeup looks are always classy and vibrant, and she really gives me some great ideas on how to change up my look every so often. Pale girls can pull of dark lips! If you're not following Eat.Sleep.Wear. already, you're really missing out. Go check it out! Kimberly also has a great eye for style so if you're interested in soaking up a little more inspiration, beck out her Pinterest boards.

Weekly Wishlist: March 31st - April 6th
1. Kate Spade Live Colorfully Fragrance - I have yet to actually smell this scent but the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I've never really been a fan of fragrances but that is only because I've yet to find the perfect one for me. This may be it!
2. Sergio Rossi Patent Leather Platform Pump - I can't believe that I don't actually own a pair of classic black patent leather pumps, or even a look alike... 0 black pumps for me at this time. I REALLY need a pair and this could absolutely be that pair!
3. Kate Spade (Saturday) The Skinny Jean in Abstract - Not only am I completely obsessed with ANYTHING Kate Spade to begin with but the new Saturday collection is to die for!
4. J. Crew Postage Stamp Mini in Scatter Dot - There was a time in my life when I couldn't understand why everyone was raving about J.Crew, that time is long past and I am always finding little gems like this number all the time!
5. Kate Spade Catherine Street Stripe Louise - Kate Spade + Stripes = SOLD in my book.
6. Circa Joan & David Daquella Suede Pump - I've been eying these pumps for ages, and I cannot wait to add them to my collection, especially this spring.. I have a feeling I'm going to be pairing lots of blacks with pops of color throughout the season, my favorite!

Follow Friday: CARA LOREN
Cara's blog, CARA LOREN, first caught my eye while I was completing about a billion entries for a giveaway, and I couldn't be more happy that I came across it! For a girl who is completely babying her short hair with a long term goal of gorgeous, flowing locks.. Cara is absolutely my hair-spiration. I adore her ashy blonde locks, and I can't get enough of all of her helpful YouTube hair tutorials, even though I'm still at least a good 6 months away from being able to act on them. Cara's style is modern with a twist, and I can't get over her adorable son Hanes and his budding style as well! Do yourself a favor and head over to her blog right now and follow her everyday style posts and giveaways!

Personal Musings: Moving Weekend!
We've been in North Carolina for 6 months now, with one a few road trips back and forth to New York and we're finally headed back to New York for a little while. It's a strange way of living, never knowing how long you're going to be staying in any one city, town, apartment. There are still so many places that we want to see, and spend time in and I love that Josh's (my husband) job allows us to do just that, but... I have a few complaints, we've moved 3 times now (make this weekend 4) since we've been married and it is getting seriously OLD! I'm convinced that this is due to the fact that I have way too much stuff. Packing and unpacking this every 3-6 months got old really fast. I could probably cut things down at least 5 boxes so that we could actually do a move in just our 2 cars, and I will definitely work on it for next time.
I also just realized that it's now been an entire year since I had a job. I assumed that every place that Josh took a job, I would be able to find something temporary, but every time I get into an interview and honestly say that I don't know how long I'll be around, that's pretty much the end of it. This is embarrassing for me to actually talk about because I've actually had about 5 interviews here in North Carolina and it's just a little sad to think about. I go crazy if I have nothing to do, and adopting Rooney and training her has taken up a lot of time and I know she is just now getting to the point where she could be left at home alone for a workday, so it was definitely meant to be and absolutely perfect timing. I say all of this to actually admit that I'm afraid I'll never have a "career". I don't even know what I'd actually want that career to be. Will I actually be able to stick with the same job for years and years? Would it depend on what that actual job was? Or am I just bound to live a life of minimum wage jobs at this rate? These are the things I think about when I'm laying awake in bed right before I fall asleep.
So, I would love to know, if you've found your career, how did you find it? Did you try different things before you found it? Are you still looking for it? How do you continue to be positive towards the future when you're not in school, working toward any career path? I'd love to read anything you all have to say! =)
